It's All In The Value
Last week I had the privilege of providing some laser coaching to several businesswomen at the Beabe Gallery Face Book Party. It was a great night with so many wonderful people in attendance.
During my coaching sessions what struck me was just how important coaching is to help people get unstuck, move forward, and find new perspectives. Now I can hear you saying, “Well of course you would say that, you’re a coach!” But, I am not saying it just because I am a coach. I see the value and benefit of coaching and I saw the shifts that people can make in just one coaching session.
So if you are thinking that coaching won’t help you achieve what you want in your business find out for sure by setting up a time to discuss your situation with a coach and see what happens. You might be very surprised at the results.
Is Your Business Sucking the Life Out Of You?
Today I went for my usual manicure and pedicure. My nail technician’s name is Sandy. She is a fabulous nail tech; her work is always impeccable and she is a great gal. But as I sat there watching her perform her magic I couldn’t help but be struck at how incredibly hard she works. She toils non-stop from 10 AM until 8 PM everyday, even on Sunday’s! She often tells me “I work like a dog.” Sandy is a woman who trades dollars for hours!
When it comes to making money, most people share the same view – “If I work harder in my job and put in more hours, I’ll get ahead and make more money.” Unfortunately, no matter how many hours you put in, you’ll forever be constrained by time. There are only a finite number of hours you can work in a day during which you can exchange your available working hours for money – essentially, trading dollars for hours.
When you trade dollars for hours you sacrifice the time that could be spent with family and friends, enjoying your favorite hobbies or the opportunity to experience and learn new things. Instead you are a slave to the work more, earn more vicious cycle you have created for yourself.
So how do you work less and earn more? The best solution that I have found by far is to create a program or package.
Now if you are saying, “that’s it?” Let me tell you YES it is! And just a little FYI, people love to buy programs and packages.
If you are in 1-on-1, labor intensive, exhausting, suck the life out of you business the best way to give you back some of that precious time AND make more money is to develop innovative programs and packages that your clients will LOVE to buy from you.
Don’t know where to start? Start by deciding that you want to move away from the exhaustion that dollars for hours work has created and into more time off! Look around and see what others have done in this area and begin to formulate what might go into a program that you would offer.
By moving away from this old business model and into an innovative new strategy you too can put the fulfillment back into your business.
