Start Thinking Like A Million-Dollar Business Owner

http://www.daretobephenomenal.comOn the outside do you claim to want more money while on the inside you’re plagued with feeling unworthy to make more?  Women harbor shame, blame and tons of pain when it comes to money.  So if you’re suffering with those feelings, realize you’re not alone.

You can break free of your money dark side.  And you know what? It’s surprisingly easy to do!

Here’s what I recommend to shine a light on the dark side of money. Try these three simple tips for yourself and you’ll quickly find yourself feeling more at peace with money…and bringing in more of it!

Tip # 1:  Stop Thinking and Saying, “I can’t afford it.”

We all want a good deal! Heck, I seek out good deals all the time.  But too much of a good thing can turn out to be not such a good thing after all.  When you tell yourself you can’t afford something you are telling the universe that you don’t deserve to get what you want. If you really want something, then you must decide and take action towards what it is you desire.  So stop thinking can’t and start thinking can!

Tip #2: Stop Giving Away Your Power with Money

I see women giving their power away with money all the time.  You do it by undercharging, avoiding uncomfortable money conversations and situations, overcompensating by giving too much of your time away, scrimping, over investing in growth, and a slew of other disempowering behaviors.

Consider this:  If you engage in behaviors that repel money, how can more money begin to flow towards you?

Next time you find yourself giving your power away with money I want you to ask yourself this:

As someone who is standing in my power around money,
how should I handle this situation and empower myself?

Tip #3: Stop the Negativity

We’ve all heard the stories about how awful rich people can be.  They’re greedy, selfish, arrogant people only concerned with their money and themselves.  But come on…rich people haven’t cornered the market on any of those bad behaviors.

You can’t aspire to something you despise.  So the next time these thoughts pop up — and they will pop up — start thinking differently by asking yourself, “How do people with money contribute to the world?  Then think about how you contribute good to the world as someone who has a lot of money and feel the shift.

Good Solid Money Habits Aren’t For When You DO Have Money; They Help You Attract More Money Right Now!

Don’t make the mistake of waiting to start thinking and behaving as a wealthy entrepreneur.  Start thinking and behaving like one now, and the money will follow.

The Energy of Excuses

Energy guides action. When you are in alignment with your energy, meaning you are free of conflict, the right actions become obvious and extremely easy.    But when your energy is out of alignment, knowing what to do becomes difficult and daunting and the results are typically pretty disappointing.

What about the energy of excuses?  Excuses contain the energy of disempowerment.  Excuses help to create the victim mentality.

Why do we make excuses?  We make excuses for a variety of reasons.  First, we make them when we are unsure.  Second, we make excuses to avoid discomfort. But the reality is making an excuse actually creates more discomfort because we know that the excuse isn’t the truth.

Here’s a little exercise you can do this week.  Notice when you are making excuses. Now, you may notice that you are making excuses every single day.  Excuse making is really pervasive in our society, so don’t be surprised if you are noticing this  a lot.  Don’t be hard on yourself; just notice when you make an excuse.

Instead of letting the excuse stand as truth I want you to stand in your power.  All you need to do is to say, “I am not a victim, I am someone who stands in my power.  And as someone who is fully standing in my power, I want _______.”

Try this out this week and you are going to find yourself taking ownership and responsibility where before you were giving your power away.  In that place of ownership and responsibility is where you are going to feel in control, in alignment and in your power. Have fun with this!

Do You Give Your Power Away With Money?

As women business owners we often give out power away around money.  We do this in a variety of  ways that I want to share with you today.  Typically women give their power away in one of four ways:

1.  Deciding ahead of time what someone is willing to pay for your product or service or deciding ahead of time how many people will sign up for a particular service.  In doing so you artificially surpress your success by keeping your numbers much lower than than they could be.

2. You fail to understand or see why someone would want to pay more for your services or products.

3.  You give away an over abundance of your time.  Is this you?  Do you tend to give away hours and hours of services to your clients that  you are not compensated for?

4.  You overspend in your personal and business life purchasing items that you  don’t need.

Now the big question is: “Which of these behaviors fits your particular situation and pattern of behavior?”  Once you have that figured out I want you to ask yourself, “What need is being served by you giving away your power with money?”  Is it to be liked or avoid rejection?  Or maybe you want to be seen as powerful to other people.

What ever the reason figure it out and then ask yourself if that need was being met and you were fully standing in your power what action would you take now?  Think about it and let me know your thoughts.
